As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
One of the best ways to reconnect with nature is to go camping, but not everyone loves to sleep on the ground in the tent. Here’s a beautiful camping village that’s the perfect place to relax and recharge, and you’ll enjoy modern amenities and a comfy bed at night.
Beech Tree Cottages is a pretty little village situated on a three-acre estate right on the coast.
Address: 1187 Boston Post Road, Madison, CT, 06443
Originally built in the 1940s, these cottages are arranged together to create a little community. In 2001, they were all restored and now offer a unique alternative to campgrounds or hotels.
Choose from small or large cottages, depending on how many people will be staying overnight. Every cottage includes comfortable beds where you can snuggle up after a day of exploring.
Small cottages have either one queen bed or two double beds; large cottages all have queen-sized beds. Small cottages sleep either two or four people; the large cottages can accommodate four guests.
Each cottage is painted a different color, and they're all simply adorable. These little homes are decorated in a coastal New England style, and each one has outdoor seating so you can enjoy the fresh sea breezes.
