She is passionate about animal rescue and live music - traveling across the country to see a favorite band is a pretty regular occurrence! Being out hiking in the woods enjoying the scenery with her beloved dogs is another favorite hobby, and also checking out the Pokemon Go scene in whatever city she happens to be in at any given time (coffee and dog leash in hand). The Nutmeg State is not particularly known for having a large Amish population. Nearby states such as Pennsylvania and New York boast much higher populations of Amish and Mennonite communities. Though we may not have many Amish people living here, we have an Amish store in Connecticut right in historic Collinsville. America the Beautiful Country Store is a down-home country store that will make you feel like you just stepped back into the past.
