Action Wildlife is an escape in Northwestern Connecticut that offers a truly unique experience that folks of all ages will love. It’s a great place to spend an afternoon and let your imagination loose. Turns out the zoo isn’t the only place you can discover exotic wildlife!
The Action Wildlife Foundation is home to 300 animals, many of which are not native to this continent.
Among the extensive collection are Ibex, Zonkeys, and Japanese Sika Deer. This list of animals is always changing, and depending on the season you may get to see some babies wandering about!
The sprawling acres are fun to explore and beckon passersby to visit.
Some of the animals can be seen from the road, but you really must go inside to get the full experience. Check out the Museum and Exploration center for taxidermy displays and hands on exhibits for the kids. There are also plenty of picnic tables so feel free to pack a lunch and dine in the wild.
In fact, this adorable pit stop is just one of the ways you can really immerse yourself in the wild at this awesome park. There's also a hay ride and a self navigated drive-thru safari that takes you through 50 acres of enclosed wildlife. Other animal attractions can't compete with how up close and personal you can get with the residents here.
You'll come across any number of habitats, from swamp to stone mountains. You'll see animals you didn't even know existed in a stunning and quiet setting. Words are simply not enough to describe this place. So plan your visit today! The park is located at 337 Torrington Road (Rt. 4), Goshen, CT 06756.
Check out this footage from WTNH News 8 visit to Action Wildlife on their Crusin’ Connecticut segment! They said it best: “What was once a 116 acre dairy farm, has grown to be one of the most unique animal attractions in the state.”
You definitely don’t want to miss out on this incredible experience to see animals from around the world without leaving home. It’s a once in a lifetime experience!
