Is it just us, or is Colorado upping its game when it comes to popular fast food joints? First, it was Shake Shack, then In-N-Out, and now, we just learned that Whataburger will soon be making its long-awaited arrival to the Centennial State, and we are seriously freaking out:
Coming soon to Colorado is the first-ever Whataburger, a Texas-based burger joint with 800 locations and a devoted following.
As per a statement given to Fox21 in Colorado Springs, Whataburger shared that "It’s true we are planning to bring our iconic burgers and exceptional customer service to Colorado Springs," adding that "We’ll have more information to share in the future, but we have some great fans in Colorado Springs and we hope they’re as excited as we are.”
Established in Corpus Christi, Texas, in 1950, Whataburger is known near and far for its "bigger, better burger," which is comprised of cooked-to-order 100% pure beef, a toasted 5-inch bun, and fresh toppings.
Since its humble beginnings, Whataburger has expanded not only its locations but also its menu and now serves everything from its famous burgers to Patty Melts to chicken strips and sandwiches to breakfast burritos and shakes.
While an official opening date has yet to be released, southern Coloradans can rest easy knowing that one of the most iconic burgers in the country will soon be available in our own backyard!
