Do you remember when you were a kid and found nothing to be quite as comforting as a warm and gooey grilled cheese? I do (and not just because I have a 3-year-old who refuses to eat anything but grilled cheese and/or mac and cheese) and am excited to share with you this Colorado restaurant that serves delicious grown up version of this childhood classic:
Please note, Tom+Chee has permanently closed.
Located in Fort Collins, Tom+Chee (TOMato Soup + Grilled CHEEse... get it?) is a national chain that started in a small tent in Ohio.
After making an investment deal on the popular "Shark Tank," Tom+Chee began to quickly grow and garnered even more publicity through shows like "The Chew", "Man v. Food Nation", and NBC's "Today".
In addition to its one Colorado location, this unique chain is located in 14 other states and features such masterpieces as this brie grilled cheese with grilled mushrooms and onions on rye bread...
...the namesake Tom+Chee (with diced tomato; mozzarella, cheddar, and hardy white cheeses)...
...and pièce de résistance: the grilled cheese donut.
Now THIS is what I call a grilled cheese!
In addition to "just" sandwiches, this comfort food gem also features an innovative menu of soups, salads, and sides.
Tom+Chee is located at 2909 E Harmony Rd in Fort Collins and is open 7 days a week from 10:30 am to 9 pm. For more information on menus and pricing, visit their website .
