Sometimes the smallest restaurants pack the biggest punch, and one restaurant in Glenwood Springs, Colorado that does exactly that is Slope & Hatch. This spot is very small and only has seating for a few patrons at a time, but it’s absolutely worth a visit. It’s been open since 2013 and has been serving hungry and happy diners ever since. The food at Slope & Hatch is top-notch, and you’re going to be impressed by anything and everything that you decide to order.
Slope & Hatch is itty bitty! This small restaurant is located in downtown Glenwood Springs - it's right off I-70 if you're just passing through.
Don't let the size of this restaurant fool you, though! It's big on flavor and innovation. There aren't a lot of places to sit in Slope & Hatch, but who cares? The food is great.
One of the main foods that Slope & Hatch is known for is hot dogs. All of the dogs served here are 10-inch-long, Colorado-made, natural-casing hot dogs. There are several different dogs to choose from, and all are served with the restaurant's award-winning fries.
The dogs are only the beginning, though. There are always lots of exciting things to try at Slope & Hatch. This Fried Chicken Torta with lettuce, pickles, and Cajun mayo on a grilled telera roll looks pretty exceptional.
These Tropical Ceviche Tostadas with citrus-marinated shrimp and octopus, avocado, pineapples, jalapeño, toasted coconut, and siracha crema are mouthwatering as well.
The food at Slope & Hatch isn't just tasty - it's beautiful, too. Just look at these Ginger Glazed Salmon Sambas with slaw, dashi, and dragon fruit salsa on grilled flour tortillas. Yum!
Or maybe this Athena Gordita is more your style? This includes grilled chicken, roasted jalapeño, tzatziki, lettuce, cucumber, pico, and queso fresco on a flash-fried flour tortilla. Wow!
The main thing that Slope & Hatch is known for is its tacos. There are many different tacos to choose from, and none of them are anything like any tacos you've had before. They're innovative, and they're amazing.
Bring your appetite - and plan on returning for more in the future.
Slope & Hatch is amazing; you’re going to love everything on the menu, and you’ll want to go back time and time again.
