When you are from Colorado, there are just some things that you know not to do (like using the term “Coloradan” – You don’t call someone from Chicago a “Chicagan,” so why would you lose the o in Coloradoan? That’s a very transplant thing to say…) Take – for instance – these 13 super-obvious things that no self-respecting Coloradoan would ever do:
1.) Cheer for the Chiefs.
This is something that you should NEVER do. In fact, you shouldn't cheer for any team BUT the Broncos. (Except, of course, for the Falcons in Super Bowl 51!)
2.) Stop at a yellow light.
Green means go, yellow means go, and the first 17 seconds of a red light means go.
3.) Go to Vermont to ski...
4.) ...to New Mexico for green chile...
5.) ...or to Casa Bonita for Mexican food.
These three things just aren't right!
6.) Voluntarily move to California...
7.) ...or Texas.
Trust me; there is a reason they are all moving to Colorado.
8.) Buy weed from your old dealer.
No need my friend. No need.
9.) Pass up the chance to hike...
10.) ...ski...
11.) ...or bike.
How can you not when our great outdoors looks this pristine?
12.) Choose a cat over a dog.
If you enjoy living, do not invite one of these seemingly innocent, albeit assault-loving felines into your home.
13.) Finally, no self-respecting Coloradoan would EVER be caught with a Budweiser product in hand.
Life's too short to drink domestic beer.
