The Estes Ark. The iconic Spaceship House. UFO Watchtower. The Centennial State is home to some downright odd and wonderful buildings and structures, which makes it hard to declare which is the most unique of all. Thankfully, we didn’t have to make this tough call, as House Beautiful recently named Bishop Castle as the strangest building in Colorado:
"Consider this list your reason for an epic cross-country road trip," begins the article, explaining they chose each state's structure based on both its unique architecture and fascinating history, making Bishop a no-brainer.
Standing at an impressive 160-feet-tall, Bishop Castle is arguably the most eye-catching structure in all of Colorado, thanks to not only its height but also its stone exterior and dramatic towers.
Like all great castles, Bishop is not only stunning on the outside but the inside as well, as the structure houses sizeable stained glass windows, winding staircases, and even a grand ballroom.
