Located in Pine, Staunton State Park is Colorado's newest park that features varying landscapes within a whopping 3,828-acre area!

Opened in 2013, Staunton State Park sits on a space originally donated to the state by Frances Hornbrook Staunton in 1986 and gradually grew from its original 1,720 acres via donated and acquired land.

Just what can you expect to find at Colorado's newest state park? For starters, there are several designated trails, ranging from a simple 2-mile-loop all the way up to a 12-mile hike (complete with a 1,500 foot elevation gain)...
