Is it just us, or has this been the longest winter in the history of the world? Thanks to record amounts of snow and lots of frigid temperatures, many of us have spent the last few months cooped up inside, awaiting the spring thaw. Sound familiar? Fortunately, springtime is just around the corner, and there is no better place to kick it off than the Steamboat Springalicious Festival in Colorado:
Located in - you guessed it! - Steamboat Springs, the Steamboat Springalicious Festival pays tribute to this warm-ish time of year through some less-than-traditional yet fun festivities!
What kind of quirky festivities do we mean? Like all great festivals, the Steamboat Springalicious has its own set of highly anticipated traditions, beginning with the Splashdown Pond Skim.
Taking place on the last day of the festival (April 12, 2020), the Splashdown Pond Skim gives skiers the chance to not only dress in fun costumes but also try their hand at crossing the icy pond successfully.
Do you love live music? You can find it all throughout the festival (April 1st through the 12th, 2020), with scheduled appearances by Maggie Rose, The Motet, and Bonfire Dub.
If you hope to get in a little more skiing before the season ends, Steamboat Springalicious is the perfect place to do so, as they offer a $179 special for your choice of 3 days on the slope!
