German food is the ultimate comfort food; the hearty schnitzel and creamy spätzle will fill your belly and delight your tastebuds. There’s a wonderful German restaurant in Colorado Springs that has the most delicious food ever – and the soft pretzels here are huge!
Edelweiss has been a Colorado Springs favorite since 1967. It's the go-to place for delicious German food, and you'll find it at 34 E. Ramona Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80905.
Step inside to find a cozy dining room just brimming with German charm. Warm up by the fireplace during cold winter months while you fill up on schnitzel and sausage.
Before you dive into the delicious lunch or dinner menu, you'll definitely want to start your dining experience with a huge Riezen Bretzel. This soft pretzel is so big that it takes up the entire platter. It's served with both honey mustard and cheese sauce for your dipping pleasure.
The chewy pretzel has just the right amount of bite - not too tough, and definitely not soggy. You can see by its size that it's meant to be shared with at least one other person (maybe four!).
The lunch and dinner menus are packed with traditional German fare, all created using authentic recipes brought straight from Heidelberg by owner Helga Schnakenberg.
Visit Edelweiss Restaurant to sink your teeth into that huge pretzel and enjoy a delicious German meal you won't forget. It's open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. (an open until 9:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights).
