Something you won’t want to miss, this one-of-a-kind natural waterpark will be gone before you know it!

Considered to be the best place in the entire world for you to experience this rare phenomenon, Great Sand Dunes National Park is currently home to its own natural waterpark. One of the many natural wonders inside of the park, Medano Creek is one of the only waterways on Earth to experience "surge flow." The creek has currently flowed down from the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, reaching the dunes and pouring out all across the sand.

Creating a unique combination of scenery, a waterside with small waves now sits inside the National Park. While it's not the first time this natural phenomenon has occurred, now is one of the best times for you to experience it. Currently at its peak flow, residents from all over are heading to Medano Creek with tubes to take advantage of this incredible waterpark while it's still here.
