It is no secret that Colorado is a nature lover’s paradise, thanks to our purple mountain Majesties, picture-perfect plains, and Western Slope plateaus that never seem to end! In addition to all of the above, we have more brilliantly blue and crystal clear lakes than one can count, including the always fun and ever-changing Keystone Lake and Lakeside Village:
Located in - you guessed it! - Keystone, the Keystone Lakeside Village is THE place to play and stay during your visit to this iconic mountain town.
Unlike other mountain towns, Keystone is relatively young as it was established in 1970. It was not founded because of the mining boom or railroad, but strictly for skiing and other resort activities.
While skiing and snowboarding are one of Keystone's most popular activities, there is much more to see and do around the area. Most of it takes place in the charming Lakeside Village.
Home to condominiums, stores, and restaurants, Keystone Village is your one-stop-shop for all things Keystone and it also includes year-round activities atop the lake.
There is no shortage of things to do on the lake during the summer. This includes paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing, canoeing, and paddle-boating via the exciting Adventure Center.
Are you visiting during the cold winter months? Lucky for you, the Keystone Lake transforms into the world’s largest Zamboni-maintained ice skating rink. It is a favorite for novice skaters, hockey players, and figure skaters alike.
