Colorado is home to some breathtaking churches and downright delicious restaurants, but have you ever wondered what would happen if you combined the two? (Even if the answer is no, pretend you do for the sake of my feelings and this article.) If so, you will want to visit this upscale Colorado restaurant that is located inside a former church:
How did Scileppi's come to inhabit this historical masterpiece? When St. Francis of Assisi parish - which built and used the church - moved to a more prominent location in 1966, the building sat abandoned before receiving a second chance as a restaurant in 1975.
While the history and ambiance are reason enough to visit, the food and drinks at Scileppi's also cannot be missed, beginning with charcuterie boards, salad, and other classic starters.
As it is an Italian restaurant, Scileppi's has all of your favorite homemade dishes, including Gnocchi Al Fresco, Chicken Parmigiana, Lobster Ravioli, and Spaghetti and Meatballs.
