Move over, Disney and Universal: There is a new theme park attraction that has everyone talking and it isn’t located in Florida or California, but rather here in Colorado! While it doesn’t open quite yet, we are still giddy with excitement over this new Colorado rollercoaster, which will be breaking records left and right:
Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park is the Centennial State's go-to for historical cave tours and thrill rides, but wait until you see what this unique park has up its sleeve beginning next year.
Slated to open in late 2022, the groundbreaking for the edgy new Defiance has begun and promises an experience unlike any other, thanks to the coaster's many twists, turns, and drops.
Sitting on the edge of Iron Mountain, Defiance "will both defy and succumb to the effects of gravity for an action-packed and world-class thrill ride," all of which takes place at 7,160 feet above sea level, making it the highest coaster in the country!
In addition to its record-breaking elevation, Defiance will feature a 98-foot twisted top hat switch, 41-foot Zero-G heartline-roll, 111-foot banana roll, and the steepest freefall in the west.
While you wait for this epic coaster to open, you can visit Glenwood Caverns for plenty of other thrills, including the famous Haunted Mine Drop, Alpine Coaster, and Soaring Eagle Zip Ride.
