You'll Find These Things Only In Colorado

Unique to the Centennial State, you will find these things only in Colorado:

The Mile High Flea Market. This massive marketplace covers more than 80 acres, and you'll find dozens of vendors, as well as food, drinks, and all sorts of wares to sample. Given the sheer quantity of items available, you will probably need several days (or several weekends) to get through all there is to explore. Well, now you have summer plans!

Mesa Verde National Park is home to one of the most pristine Puebloan ruins in the country. You really cannot understand how amazing these ancient cliff dwellings are, like the stunning Spruce Tree House, set in a large cavern in the sheer face of a stone wall, until you've seen them up close and in person. Photos just do not do them justice!

Colorado is, in fact, home to four national parks - only Alaska, California, and (strangely) Utah have more. Apart from Mesa Verde's amazing ruins, you can visit the alpine splendor of Rocky Mountain National Park, home to the headwaters of the Colorado River; explore the deep, rugged beauty of Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park; or climb the massive mountains of silica at Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve.

Speaking of the number four, one thing that's not exactly unique to Colorado alone, but without the Centennial State, it wouldn't exist, is that we're one of the Four Corners states - along with Arizona, New Mexico, and (again) Utah. That's right, we're one of only four states that can claim to be part of the only four corners - a boundary shared by four states - in the U.S. of A.
