Even before Colorado became a state, it was a hopping place with plenty of different communities, restaurants, and shops. While most of these original places are no longer in existence, there is a small handful in business, including this iconic bar that is famous for not only its food and drinks, but also for its alleged ghosts.
Welcome to The Buffalo Rose; the "Pulse of Golden Since 1859."
Established 17 years before Colorado entered the Union, The Buffalo Rose has long been the area's go-to for mouthwatering meals, delicious drinks, and friendly service.

Despite being 150 years old, changing hands between a number of different owners, and undergoing extensive renovations - the most recent of which took place in 2018 - the business' original integrity remains the same.
In addition to maintaining its original feel, The Buffalo Rose is alleged to host the ghosts of a few of its original patrons, including a little girl...
She may be small, but her presence is strong, with many visitors claiming to feel her stare and hear her running up and down the stairs.
...as well as the ghosts of men who were killed in a shootout with police.
While they do not make their presence known as often as the mysterious girl, you can still see and hear them around the premise.
While the thought of ghosts may sound unappealing, there is no reason to worry; the spirits at The Buffalo Rose are reported to be very friendly and go about their own business.
In addition to being a fascinatingly historic - and potentially haunted - saloon, Buffalo Rose is also an amazing event space and live music venue.
