Colorado is a magical place to grow up (and I should know, as I am a rarity who was actually born and raised in the Centennial State), thanks to our Disneyland of Mexican restaurants, ample outdoor activities, Santa’s Workshop, and parks galore! When it comes to parks, there are many different ones to choose from, our favorite, of which, is this egg-cellent chicken and farm-themed playground in Colorado that’s oh-so-special:
To make this already unique theme even more one-of-a-kind, there is a fun scavenger hunt to accompany the chicken motif, which you can participate in by following the signs (or prints!) around the park.
Why a chicken-themed playground? Silver Creek Park was designed in honor of the land's previous owners, who ran “one of the region’s largest poultry farms from 1920 to 1978.”
While younger kids will almost always love a park, Silver Creek was also designed with older kids in mind, as it boasts climbing walls, nets, and a long zipline.
