She graduated with a degree in journalism from Fordham University and is thrilled to be working as a full time travel writer for this and other sites - she finally found her perfect niche - and is so grateful for that.
Do you like remote small towns? Colorado has a lot of cool little towns but most aren’t very isolated. However, there are a few that stand out when talking about the more remote places in the state, and one of them is Lake City, Colorado.
It’s about an hour south of Gunnison and an hour north of Creede, and neither of those towns is a giant metropolis, either. That leaves Lake City kind of on its own out there in the middle of the beautiful San Juan Mountains, and that’s what makes it remarkable. Lake City has a population of just over 400 people, so it’s pretty tiny, but it’s beautiful, special, friendly, and welcoming, and you should visit it soon!
