If you are a Colorado native, you know that the Centennial State is overall a safe place to live… or is it? Sadly, it is not nearly as safe as it once was, at least, according to WalletHub, which recently released its annual list of the Safest States in America:
The results are in, and Colorado is officially NOT one of the Safest States in America.
According to WalletHub - which considered everything from Covid infections and deaths to drug abuse, sex offenders, theft, and first responders per capita - Colorado is the 34th safest state in America (or the 16th most dangerous) thanks to several factors.
As per WalletHub's findings, Colorado ranked 36th overall in terms of personal and residential safety, as the Centennial State scored poorly in terms of the aforementioned drug abuse and sexual offenses, plus bullying, shootings, and other factors.
While Colorado ranked poorly in personal and residential safety, it did make the Top 10 in financial safety, thanks to low unemployment rates and bankruptcy filings, and higher median credit scores.
