If you love hot springs and relaxing getaways, then you’re going to love Joyful Journey Hot Springs Spa in Moffat, Colorado. This hot springs is a bit off the beaten path and is about an hour south of Salida. It’s small but incredibly welcoming, and you’re going to love everything about it. I try to go as often as I can; it’s one of my favorite places in all of Colorado. Read on to learn more about it.
Joyful Journey Hot Springs Spa is a relatively small hot springs resort but it's absolutely lovely. There are three hot springs pools to soak in.
These pools are warm and healing and full of minerals like arsenic, boron, calcium, chloride, fluoride, iron, lithium, magnesium, manganese, selenium, silica, sodium, sulphur, and zinc.
The View Pool has great views of the mountains and is 108 degrees. This is a quiet pool - only whispering is allowed, so guests can relax in the water in near silence.
The pools open early in the morning and are open until after dark. You'll likely want to spend quite a bit in all of them throughout your visit or stay.
There are accommodation options for every budget at Joyful Journey. You can visit as a day guest, but I highly recommend staying on site to get the most out of your visit.
Be sure to take some time to walk the labyrinth, as well. It's a perfect place to do some deep thinking and introspection.
