One of the biggest trends in the restaurant industry is that of farm-to-table dining. Have you tried it? If you have, you know that there is something to this concept, which serves fresh and flavorful meats and produce grown by local farmers. Whether or not you have yet to experience this deliciousness for yourself, you will want to check out this small Colorado farm that takes the “farm-to-table” approach very seriously:
Tucked away in the small Western Slope town of Paonia is that of the quaint Living Farm Cafe, which serves "farm-fresh and organic produce, meat, cheese and eggs from our farm and others in the area."
One of the main farming sources that is trusted by the Living Farm Cafe is that of the nearby Living Farm which, come to find out, is the 4th generation family-run farm that head chef and owner Mike Gillespie grew up on.
As if the world-class cuisine and small market weren't enough, the historic farmhouse also serves as a comfortable inn, which is housed on the second floor of the building.
The Living Ranch Cafe is located 120 Grand Ave. in Paonia. For more information on the history of the restaurant, menu options, or inn availability, please refer to the Living Farm Cafe’s website.
