Can a beautiful view change your life? It may sound like a silly concept, but we happen to think that some places can change a person’s perspective on the world around them. Take, for instance, this striking, jaw-dropping, and little-known Colorado overlook that will change the way you see the Centennial State forever:
Welcome to the downright stunning Lost Gulch Overlook!
Located atop Flagstaff Mountain near Boulder, the Lost Gulch Overlook is an unforgettable lookout that gives hikers downright incredible views of the picture-perfect Colorado landscape.
Nestled away just off Flagstaff Road, the short and sweet hike to reach the Overlook gives hikers a sneak peek of what's to come, thanks to the area's many mature trees and its native wildlife.
While there is never a wrong time to visit the Lost Gulch Overlook, sunrise and sunset may just take the cake, especially when dramatic shadows are cast over the Indian Peaks Wilderness and Rocky Mountain National Park.
The Lost Gulch Overlook can be accessed from Boulder by taking Baseline road west 5.5 miles past the Flagstaff Summit (Realization Point). Continue until you find the dirt parking lot to the north of the road.
