Did you have a pretty sweet comic book collection when you were a kid? Are you a grown adult who still has a pretty sweet comic book collection? Either way, today’s Only in Colorado feature is just for you, as the Centennial State is home to the country’s largest indoor comic book store and you do not want to miss it:
Located in Denver is Mile High Comics, AKA the largest comic book dealer in America!
What began as a small, mail-order business out of owner Chuck Rozanski's parent's basement has morphed into a nationally-known destination, which now boasts 3 storefronts and a significant online presence.
The most well-known (and loved) of Mile High Comics' locations is the pictured Jason Street store, which spans a whopping 65,000-square-feet and houses an estimated 10 million comics and 300,000 comic trade paperbacks and hardbacks.
In addition to their millions of comics, Mile High Comics also offers several other specialty items, including vintage toys, movie memorabilia, and apparel.
As if all of the above was not reason enough to visit Mile High Comics, the megastore also hosts several special events, including auctions, benefit poker tournaments, book signings, and more.
Mile High Comics is open Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
