There’s A Bakery On This Beautiful Farm In Colorado And You Have To Visit
Question: Is there anything in this world that is more charming than a rural farm? The answer is — surprisingly — yes, for a rural farm that doubles as a bakery is hands down the most charming thing EVER! Fortunately for us, Colorado is home to one of these beautiful farms that you are going to want to visit:
Located in San Miguel County lies the small and friendly town of Norwood, which is surrounded by wide-spaces and lush farmland as far as the eye can see. That being said, it should come as no surprise that Norwood is home to beautiful, family-owned farms such as Indian Ridge, who sets out to “provide a stronger, more sustainable region by nurturing a secure and nutritious food shed.” Situated on 100 acres, Indian Ridge Farm houses grass-fed pastured cows, goats, chickens, and pigs, and also grows and harvests all the ingredients for their incredible baked goods! Available for purchase from their downtown Norwood storefront (as well as at local farmer’s markets), Indian Ridge bakes up organic and oh-so delicious cookies, cakes, breads, scones, and the pièce de résistance: homemade granola. (If you don’t live anywhere near the farm, you can still order their fresh granola online or look for it at your local Whole Foods.)
