Tucked away in the jaw-dropping White River National Forest is the must-visit Chapman Reservoir Campground!
Located near Yampa, the Chapman Reservoir Campground is the poster-child for seclusion and is surrounded by not only pristine waters but also an untouched Colorado landscape.
No matter the time of year, you are guaranteed to love your visit to the Chapman Campground, which houses such popular outdoor activities as scenic hiking, boating, ATVing, and some of the best fishing in the state!
In addition to its on-site recreation, Chapman Reservoir Campground is also close to other must-see White River National Forest attractions like the pictured Flat Tops Trail Scenic Byway and Hanging Lake, all of which makes for a perfect weekend getaway.
Rates for the Chapman Reservoir Campground begin at $23.40 per night for non-electric sites and can be booked by visiting Recreation.gov or calling (970) 927-0107.
The Chapman Reservoir Campground is open mid-May through early-November (weather pending) and can be accessed by taking I-70 to Exit 116 (Highway 82) south to Basalt, Colorado, and then Frying Pan Road for 29 miles.
