With snow in the forecast basically every week now is the time to get out and enjoy Colorado’s many seasonal activities, beginning with our personal favorite: ice skating. Fortunately, the Centennial State is full of unique places to skate both indoors and outdoors, with our favorite being the unique Parker Ice Trail at Discovery Park:
Located in - you guessed it! - Parker, the Parker Ice Trail is one of only a few in the country, making it a must-see this holiday season.
What exactly is an ice trail? As the name implies, the rink winds through what appears to be a frozen stream or river, allowing skaters the opportunity to explore the park easily.
Opening for the season on November 29th, 2019, the Parker Ice Trail promises fun for the whole family, thanks to not only the path itself, but holiday lights, decor, hot chocolate, and nearby fire pits.
After a fun day of ice skating, be sure to set aside some time to check out the rest of Discovery Park, which is home to a state-of-the-art library, public art, and other special events.
