As I have mentioned before, I am a Colorado native who moved away for college and later returned with a husband and son. Needless to say, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I left the Centennial State–I knew I would miss my family and friends, but I had no idea that I would also miss:
1. This.
NOWHERE else will you find scenery as magnificent as Colorado's!
2. The weather
Average 300 sunny days per year, yo!
3. Beers...
Sure, you can get a Coors Light just about anywhere, but Oskar Blues and Boulder Beer Company? A little harder to come by.
4. ...green chili...
Agony = a waiter staring blankly at you when you order something "Colorado style."
5. ...and Beau Jo's.
A true Coloradoan knows that Mountain Style Pizza is the BEST kind of pizza.
6. "Rocky Mountain High"
Take that as you may...
7. Broncos football
Nobody else will appreciate orange and blue as much as you.
8. The arts scene
Arts are a huge part of Colorado culture and can be found in the cities, on the slope, and even around the plains. Other states? Not so much.
9. Outdoor activities
No matter where you are in Colorado, there will always be a hiking, skiing, or boating opportunity a short distance away!
10. Colors
Let's just say that they don't call it "Colorado Colorado" for nothing.
11. Downtown areas
Pick a town (any town) and you will find a quaint and charming downtown area, perfect for window shopping or dining.
12. Most of all, you'll miss the people.
Coloradoans are some of the quirkiest, nicest, and most fun people you'll ever meet!
