You have heard of (and may have even visited) Bishop Castle, Cano’s Castle, and Cherokee Ranch and Castle, but did you know that the Centennial State is also home to a haunted castle? If you dare, read on as we uncover the dark secrets behind Colorado’s Miramont Castle:
Tucked away in historic Manitou Springs, Miramont Castle is a stunning Victorian-inspired masterpiece that spans 14,000 square feet and boasts intricate details both inside and out.
Initially built in 1895, the castle was constructed as a private residence for a French-born Catholic priest and has since served as not only a home but as a sanitarium and - most recently - a museum and tea room.
That's right, folks: According to Miramont Castle employees and guests, the premise is plagued by the paranormal, with reports of everything from a little girl who spends all of her time in the doll room to the spirit of Fr. Jean Baptist Francolon to other lost souls who roam the castle chapel.
