You have heard the expression “like a kid in a candy store,” right? I have news for you… I may like candy just as much as my 2 1/2-year-old (if not more)! That being said, my eyes grew huge and my ears perked up when I discovered this massive Colorado candy factory and store that gave me not only major nostalgia, but cavities.
How lucky are we that the world famous Hammond's Candy Factory is located right in our own backyard?! Since 1920, Denver has been home to this "sweet" business that manufactures not only the famous chocolate bars, but candy canes, ribbon candy, and so much more!
What makes the Hammond's experience different from others? For starters, the company offers FREE public tours beginning every half hour that show guests just how their famous candies are made.
Since opening the factory to the public in 1999, Hammond's has welcomed hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world, giving us all a first-hand look at why they have been in business for nearly 100 years.
