The Dark Canyon, Irwin, and Dyke Trail Loop is a really fantastic trail with mountain views that you'll surely find to be thrilling.

This trail departs from a trailhead near the town of Somerset. The loop is 5.9 miles in length.

It's rated as moderate difficulty and it will take you about 3 hours and 15 minutes to complete.

Along the way, you'll see mountains and trees and ponds and streams. You'll also gain 1,476 feet of elevation.

In the autumn season, you'll love walking among the colorful aspens as they display their incredible fall foliage.

The small ponds reflect their colors beautifully.

These ponds are just as spectacular in the spring and summer though, too.

You'll also walk past some really memorable fast-flowing streams on this loop.
