We love all of Colorado’s towns – both big and little – but some are definitely more unique than others. Spend an entire day in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, where you’ll enjoy incredible restaurants, shops and the world’s largest mineral hot springs.
Glenwood Springs has a fairly small population of about 10,000 people, but it has a very large reputation. There's so much to see and do here that you'll definitely find plenty to keep you busy for the day...or an entire weekend.
This little town has been named "Most Vibrant Small Town Arts Environment in the United States' by Southern Methodist University, "5th Best Place To Live In America" by Outdoor Magazine, and "Most Fun Town In America" by USA Today.
Take a hike on Hanging Lake Trail to witness some spectacular scenery. The trail is located in Glenwood Canyon, about 10 miles east of Glenwood Springs, and is 2.8 miles out and back.
Visit the Frontier Historical Society Museum, where you'll learn about the town's Wild West history. You can even dress up in 1800s-style clothing for a selfie.
Before you leave this gorgeous town, make sure to visit its most famous attraction - Glenwood Hot Springs Resort. It boasts the largest hot springs pool in the country, and you'll definitely want to have a soak here.
