It is once again that most magical time of year where kids both young and old feel giddy, excited, and thankful for all of the blessings in their lives. If you are anything like me, this time of year also makes you feel like a big kid all over again, which is amplified even more with new Colorado attractions like this giant indoor sandbox:
Located in the most inconspicuous of strip malls is the surprising new Kids Dig, Inc., which is a hands-on haven for kids of all ages. Why, you ask? Well...
...Kids Dig is comprised of a whopping 825 square foot sandbox with more than 40 tons of sand!
(Yes; it is just as epic as it sounds with both its ample sand AND toys.)
"The Kids Dig is designed and themed based on a quarry environment with pictures and large photo murals of earth moving equipment that gives kids a feeling of being inside their own quarry," states Kids Dig, which provides such fun toys as conveyors and diggers, shovels, buckets, and buried treasure.
The big sandbox is designated for kids 11 and under (who are potty trained), with rates running $9 per hour, per child...
...with (un-potty trained) guests under the age of three receiving FREE admission for the designated toddler area!
(Doesn't this sound like the most fun birthday party ever? If it does, you are in luck, because they host parties, too!)
Kids Dig is located at 8601 W Cross Dr, Suite B6-1 in Denver and is open Sunday through Thursday from 10 am to 5:30 pm, and on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 am to 8:30 pm.
