Everyone who has ever visited and/or seen a picture of Colorado knows that it is the best place in the world to live but which town is the best of the best? While nearly every town in the state can be argued, there is one that was just named the best place to live in America, which is the iconic northern Colorado town of Fort Collins:
Recently released by Livability is their list of the 2020 Top 100 Best Places to Live, which names Fort Collins, Colorado as the best in the country!
"Set against the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Fort Collins is a vibrant and growing city that’s overflowing with opportunity," begins Livability, adding that "Families with small children, creatives, outdoor enthusiasts and high-tech entrepreneurs all feel at home in Fort Collins, the largest city in northern Colorado."
In addition to Fort Collins, Livability - which highlights what makes small-to-medium sized cities the best places to live via in-depth research, articles, and original photography - includes other well-known and loved cities on their Top 100 List, including Ann Arbor, Michigan, Portland, Maine, and Overland Park, Kansas (pictured).
Founded as an Army outpost in 1864, Fort Collins quickly grew into a thriving community, as well as the home to Colorado State University, which helped the city's population continue to grow and flourish.
When you visit (or move to) Fort Collins today, you will find much of the city's original architecture in its charming Old Town, as well as an impressive beer and food scene, ample festivals and special events, and world-class outdoor recreation around every corner.
