No matter the time of year, there is no better place to be than Colorado. Despite our year-round beauty, however, the Centennial State manages to become even more colorful and magical during these crisp fall days, when the trees grow ablaze in vibrant reds, oranges, and yellows. If you are looking to get the most out of your fall foliage viewing, we recommend strolling amidst the hundreds of various trees, flowers, and shrubs at the Yampa River Botanic Park in Colorado:
Steamboat Springs may be iconic for skiing and other wintertime activities but thanks to the beautiful Yampa River Botanic Park, it is the place to be during the fall, too!
Opened in 1995, the Yampa River Botanic Park sits on an old horse pasture that was transformed into a 6-acre wonderland comprised of walking paths, gardens, and trees.
While the Yampa River Botanic Park is a must-see any time of year, it becomes even more magic in the fall, when the surrounding trees and shrubs begin changing colors.
