What better way to begin (or end) our trip than with a behind-the-scenes look at Colorado's wine country? Featuring tours and tastings, Grande River Vineyards is a beautiful family-owned vineyard that just so happens to also have some of the tastiest wines in the region. Cheers!

After a few hours in the car, it is time to relax and unwind at one of Colorado's premier hot springs via the Glenwood Hot Springs Resort! Billed as one of the "oldest and most iconic tourist attractions in Colorado," the Glenwood Hot Springs (and its pool, which just so happens to be the largest hot springs pool in the world!) is the perfect way to relax any aching muscles you may have.

What - you didn't know that Colorado is home to an active volcano (active volcano = a volcano that has erupted in the last 10,000 years)? We told you that Colorado has nearly every landscape imaginable, including the lava trail and other various remains of Dotsero.

If you are looking for a charming mountain town, look no further than picturesque Breckenridge and its unique dining and shopping, hikes and outdoor recreation opportunities, and scenic drives.

Arguably the "weirdest" (in the best way possible!) town in Colorado, Nederland is a colorful community that sits just to the west of Boulder. What is there to do in this small and quirky town? Aside from just enjoying the world-famous Boulder County landscape, Nederland offers a carousel, train car coffee shop, festivals, and historic mine tours. 

After the Western Slope and mountains comes the end of our road trip with the Eastern Plains and its Brush Prairie Ponds State Wildlife Area! Arguably the best place for wildlife sightings in the northeast plains, the Brush Prairie Ponds are home to such native birds as raptors, the Lark Bunting, the Horned Lark, and more!
