For the past 54 years, Durango Diner has been cooking up delicious breakfast food in the southwestern town of Durango, Colorado. Walk into their no-frills diner and take a seat at the counter, where you can watch your breakfast being made on the hot griddle. Although everything at Durango Diner is superb, their hashbrowns are truly the star of the show. You’ll want to make Durango Diner your go-to spot for super satisfying and fully loaded hashbrowns.
In 1965, Durango Diner opened their doors in downtown Durango and started serving breakfast.
Not much has changed for this mom and pop diner in the last 54 year. Diners can take a seat at the counter or grab one of the smaller booths in the back.
Have them smothered and covered in cheese for a tasty twist. If you like them to be a bit crunchier be sure to tell them to leave them on the griddle just a bit longer.
Breakfast in southwestern Colorado wouldn't be breakfast without tacos and plenty of hot sauce. Yet, a side a hashbrowns perfectly rounds out this meal too.
The local favorite is called "The Cure" and it will certainly cure any hunger pains. It's two eggs topped on hashbrowns, then covered in cheese and green chili salsa. Pair it with a biscuit for the perfect meal.
