With the CDC advising against any trick-or-treating or indoor Halloween parties this year, many Americans are beginning to pick their brains for how to celebrate their favorite holiday. Does this sound like you? While there is no denying that this spooky time of the year will look different, there are still a few fun and festive things to do, including the brand-new City of the Dead drive-in haunted house in Colorado:
Open select nights from September 25th through October 31st, 2020, the City of the Dead is a first-of-its-kind drive-thru experience that allows you to socially distance and stay safe from the scary outside world... or does it?
Actually, yes, it does, as you will be in the comfort of your own car.
For the first time ever, 2020's version of this haunted house will bring the monsters to you in the safety of your parked vehicle, according to City of the Dead, which is produced by the World-Famous 13th Floor Haunted House.
Upon arriving at the City of the Dead, you will be ushered to park at the drive-in theater, where Horror Movie Host Monte Revolta - who emerged from the dead for this very occasion - and his un-dead friends will screen terrifying footage.
While movies can be scary enough, City of the Dead will also include live spooks throughout the screening, which are guaranteed to leave you on the edge of your (car) seat.
Please note: As with all of the 13th Floor Haunted House events, the City of the Dead is considered to be too intense for young children and is recommended for ages 12 and up.
Tickets to the City of the Dead start at $39.99 per car for standard admission (and $59.99 per car for VIP) and can be purchased on the City of the Dead's website.
