Do you have a love of history and all things prehistoric? If so, Colorado is the place to be, as we are chock-full of not only railroad, mining, and Native American history, but also dinosaurs! To experience this exciting history firsthand, we recommend visiting the unique dinosaur-themed playground and ropes course at Colorado’s Royal Gorge Dinosaur Experience:
Located near - you guessed it! - the Royal Gorge Bridge in Canon City, the Royal Gorge Dinosaur Experience is home to " an affordable, dynamic and high-value educational opportunity for kids of all ages" that " enables families to learn and recreate together on stunning property with views of the famed Royal Gorge Bridge and Colorado’s stunning Sangre de Cristo mountain range."
Housed in an impressive 16,200 square-foot building, the Royal Gorge Dinosaur Experience is home to multiple must-see attractions, beginning with an outdoor ropes course and dinosaur playground!
No matter your age, you will find something to enjoy at the ropes course and dinosaur playground, beginning with a fossil dig site and a smaller playset, plus dinosaur replicas.
For the bigger kids (and kids at heart), the Royal Gorge Dinosaur Experience also offers a state-of-the-art ropes course that will put you face-to-face with some of the largest dinosaurs.
Admission to the Royal Gorge Dinosaur Experience starts at $14 for adults and $11 for children ages 4 to 12 (or $34.95 for adults and $24.95 for children for the Museum, Wild Walk, and Ropes Course).
The Royal Gorge Dinosaur Experience is open Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Monday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
