While Denver certainly offers tons of things to see and do during the winter months, sometimes it’s nice to hop in the car for a day trip. The charming town of Boulder is just 29 miles northwest of Denver, and you’ll have a blast exploring here!
Stroll through the Pearl Street Mall, where you'll find tons of shops, cafes and restaurants. The mall area runs down Pearl Street from 11th to 15th Streets.
While you're on Pearl Street, stop in for a beer and chicken pot pie at West Flanders Brewing Co. (1125 Pearl Street). You'll find dozens of beers to choose from, and the delicious, savory pot pie will warm you right up.

One place that's perfect for an afternoon of snowshoeing is Chautauqua Park, located at Baseline Road and 9th Street. Check out that view of the Flatirons!
See what's going on at the Dairy ARTS Center. This beautiful center hosts fine art exhibitions, independent cinema, comedy, dance, theater and music performances and more.
Hit the slopes at Eldora Mountain Resort. It's just 20 miles from downtown Boulder, and you'll find a nice mix of terrain that will be challenging for everyone in your group.
See a show at Fiske Planetarium. Snuggle into a cozy seat, and be prepared to be blown away by the cool FullDome and laser shows. The Planetarium is located on the campus of University of Colorado Boulder, at 2414 Regent Drive.
