You'll Never Forget This One-Of-A-Kind Train Adventure From Denver
If you had to choose one thing you love most about living in Denver, what would it be? For us, the answer is easy: it’s the location! Not only does our beautiful city receive an average 300 sunny days per year (because of where we’re located), we are also less than an hour away from both the majestic mountains and colorful plains. Aside from the fact that we’re a short drive away from some of the best outdoor recreation in the world, another plus to living so close to the mountains is the fact that we have access to this one-of-a-kind means of transportation:
Running from January 7th through March 26th, the Winter Park Express by Amtrak offers non-stop service from Denver Union Station to Winter Park. During your two hour trip up the mountain, you will travel through a whopping 28 tunnels and make record time getting to and from the slopes. Departing from Union Station at 7 am, your train will arrive at Winter Park’s platform at 9 am, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the slopes before the next departure at 4:30 pm (arriving back at Denver before 7 pm). One-way tickets on the Winter Park Express begin at $49 per person and can be purchased through Amtrak’s website.
