Are you searching for a way to take trick-or-treating to the next level of fun? Then climb aboard the trick-or-treat train at the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden and be prepared for a spooktacular trip back in time. With historic train rides, a Halloween Town, silly graveyards and more, this event will take your Halloween over the top.
Take part in a variety of kid-friendly Halloween activities at the museum on October 28 - 29, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
This includes the chance to enjoy the gorgeous fall scenery while riding behind a historic Denver and Rio Grande steam locomotive in vintage passenger cars. The kids won't be the only ones dressed up, as the engineers will be in authentic costumes as well.
Children will love the opportunity to fill their treat bags as they stroll around Railroad Halloween Town, which provides a safe place to enjoy trick-or-treating. If they are not filled up on candy, there will also be local food vendors, kettle corn, and shaved ice available for purchase.
Don't forget to document the day by posing in front of the pumpkin patch cart in your costumes. If you want to add even more to your Halloween get-up, face painting will be available.
The excursion is a must-do event for anyone who loves Halloween (and trains!).
Museum members and children under the age of two are welcome to this event for free. For all others, it costs $5 per child, $15 for adults, and seniors are admitted for $10. This includes unlimited rides on the steam engine and entertainment throughout the grounds.
The Colorado Railroad Museum is located at 17155 W. 44th St. in Golden. You can find out more about this event and purchase tickets by visiting the museum’s web-site.
