Those of us who live in Denver are pretty lucky… not only do we have gorgeous views, abundant attractions, and a variety of stellar (and well-paying) jobs, but we also live in a safe area. Actually, scratch that; we live in a *fairly* safe area, as these 8 terrifying things in Denver can (and just might) kill you:
1.) Massive amounts of snow
2.) Marijuana edibles
If you decide to eat a pot edible, please be responsible... It takes an average of two hours for pot edibles to take effect, which causes some users to consume more than the recommended amount. If this is your preferred high, don't overdo it; we hate turning on the news and hearing about the tragic death of someone who consumed too much.
3.) Denver Broncos
These boys can break your heart...
4.) Colorado Rockies
See: Denver Broncos.
5.) West Nile
6.) Craft beer
Denver is home to some of the best craft breweries in the country... however, with this comes the need to be responsible, so if you go to the brewery, be sure to have either an Uber or a cab set up to bring you home, as far too many people still decide to drink and drive.
7.) City Park West
According to a recent article by
Westword , the average life expectancy in Denver's historic City Park West neighborhood is 70, while neighborhoods like Hilltop and Wash Park boast a life expectancy of 84.
8.) Casa Bonita
If the unbearable humidity from the waterfall doesn't kill you, the awful case of food poising you may acquire from your mystery meat taco may just do you in...
