12 Things People ALWAYS Ask When They Know You're From Denver
We all have a lot of questions (some asked out of genuine curiosity and others simply to make the dreaded small talk), but if you live in Denver you can pretty much guess the first thing that will come out of someone’s mouth. (At least since marijuana was legalized.) Here are 12 questions you can always expect to someone to ask when you’re from Denver.

Just because we were the first to legalize it doesn't mean we all smoke it. (But Colorado did raise $70 million in marijuana tax revenue in the last fiscal year alone. Just saying.)

I know it's a logical question and probably just a conversation starter, but really who cares? The skiers-vs-boarders rivalry is so '90's.

Far enough not to be able to hike and ski every day. Sigh.

A hippie? Granola? Have dreadlocks? Play hackysack?

Apparently so.

I'm actually guilty of asking this when I meet someone new, but let's be honest...aren't you asking just so you can size someone up? But, hey, no matter who you are, we've got a 'hood for you!

That's like asking, "What's your favorite song?" Impossible to pick just one. Guess you'll just have to try them all!

Don't get me wrong, I love a nice cold Coors Banquet, but there are SO many phenomenal microbreweries in town. Try a small-batch beer with some true local craftsmanship!

That's a rhetorical question. Giddy up!

The same thing we've been doing...WINNING!
