It’s time to get out of town for the afternoon and take a fall foliage drive that will delight you with the rich colors of the season. Head for Rocky Mountain State Park, just 1.5 hours from downtown Denver, where you’ll see the mountains lit up in orange, yellow and red.
Take Trail Ridge Road (aka SR-34) to see some of the park's most brilliant scenery.
No one says you have to stay on SR-34. The aspens are all aglow this time of year - If you see a canopy like this, follow a side road to see where it takes you!
