This long standing, no-frills Denver steakhouse may spotlight their mouth-watering steaks on the menu, but once you walk through the doors of Mickey’s Top Sirloin, you will soon discover so much more. For over 50 years, Mickey’s has offered a menu that is inspired from dishes around the world, all while maintaining their historic and rustic atmosphere.
Mickey's Top Sirloin is found at a busy corner of Broadway and 70th Avenue in North Denver.
Mickey's offers a restaurant, bar, and banquet facility.
It is also home to a regionally renowned bocce ball court.
The history of Mickey's runs deep.
Three generations of the Bronucia family have worked the land in the area of North Denver where the restaurant currently stands. Mickey's grandfather built a home and farmed vegetables, then Mickey's father owned a grocery store on the corner. Eventually, Mickey had the idea to open a restaurant and bar serving Italian food.
The restaurant has evolved and changed over the years, but one thing remains. Mickey's is a down home family restaurant that will leave you full and happy.
They eventually added steaks and Mexican food to the menu, and in 2005 an new building replaced the decades-old original restaurant.
The casual, diner-like steakhouse strives to keep the history of this family-run restaurant and the surrounding community alive.
Although their massive menu is filled with variety (including seafood, Mexican, and Italian favorites), Mickey's is known throughout the community for their cooked-to-perfection steaks. One recent diner even deemed the steaks to be "juicier than gossip" in a review of the restaurant.
Mickey's utilizes top of the line beef that is hand-cut on the premises and grilled to your specifications. Their signature dish is the 12 oz. Mickey's Top Sirloin (of course), but the menu also features an impressive selection of other cuts of meat including T-bone, filet mignon, NY strip, porter house, and rib eye. If you feel like mixing it up a bit, you can top your steak in whole burgundy sauteed mushrooms, onions, or fried jalapeno. Or, maybe your interested in ordering a coffee-rubbed steak or the Gorgonzola crusted sirloin. The opportunities for an unforgettable dining experience really are endless at Mickey's Top Sirloin.
Their bar features competitive weekday happy hour specials on Bloody Marys, Margaritas, draft beer, and buckets of beer that will help you relax after a long day at work.
