Artists from around the world flock to Breckenridge each January to be a part of a competition that allows them to use creativity, grit, and endurance while transforming their designated 12-foot tall snow block into an awe-inspiring masterpiece. Some of the best snow sculptors and artists in the world have been hand picked to come to Breckenridge for this epic event.
The blocks of snow are prepped in advance for the 5 days (65 hours) of sculpting.

The sculpting week will begin on Monday, January 22 with a gun shot start and will come to a close on Friday, January 26th at 10 a.m.

This competition and viewing take place in the area around Riverwalk Center. You can find it at 150 West Adams Ave. in Breckenridge, CO 80424. The Event Headquarters (also known as the Thaw Lounge + Music) is inside the Riverwalk Center.
