Fourth of July is just around the corner (believe it or not!) and fortunately for us, there are many Mile High celebrations scattered throughout our neighborhoods, parks, and attractions that offer fun-filled and family-friendly festivities, including parades, games, live music, and of course, spectacular fireworks finales! There are plenty of eye-popping, jaw-dropping displays in and around the metro area, but there are also superb shindigs in most all of the charming neighboring towns of the Front Range. Pay homage to America the Beautiful at these phenomenal fireworks shows in and around Denver that will blow your mind!
Starting around 9pm on Friday, July 1st, the city of Glendale will once again honor the tradition of lighting up the Cherry Creek Valley skies with one of the oldest and largest shows in Denver. Don't dare miss this dazzling display!
Want to see fireworks AND jet cars zooming around the track at 290mph? The Bandimere Speedway in Morrison is hosting an all-day "Family Festival" on Saturday, July 2nd, that's sure to be fun for the whole crew! Enjoy drag racing, live music, a kids carnival, games, and more! (Gates open at 8am; the fireworks celebration is at 9:45pm.) Boom!

3. Civic Center Independence Eve Celebration, July 3, 2016
Starting at 8pm on Sunday, July 3rd, Denver's Civic Center will host its annual Independence Eve celebration, including live music and an insanely impressive fireworks show that'll leave you speechless!
4. Elitch Gardens Theme and Water Park, July 4, 2016
Our breathtaking Mile High skyline will be illuminated with an equally dazzling fireworks show put on by the landmark Elitch Gardens, starting at 10pm on Monday, July 4th. Get ready to be AWEmazed!
Go cheer on our Colorado Rapids as they face off against the Portland Timbers at Dicks Sporting Goods Park at 7pm on July 4th and be sure to stick around for the fantastic fireworks show as the grand finale!
Our very own professional lacrosse team, the Denver Outlaws go up against the Florida Launch at 6:30pm on July 4th. After the game, there'll be a one-of-a-kind pyrotechnics display right in the bowl of Mile High Stadium. Not only that, but you can also view the mind-blowing spectacle on the stadium's 220-foot-wide, high-definition screen. "One of the coolest close-proximity extravaganzas you’ll ever see!"
There are also spectacular celebrations in the suburbs and cities just outside of Denver, including Broomfield (pictured), Arvada, Aurora, Littleton, Park Hill, Westminister, and Wheat Ridge. Check local listings for details.
One of the most breathtaking pyrotechnic displays outside of the metro area just may be at Estes Park. Miles from the lights of the big city, the fireworks seem to burn bigger and brighter and longer, especially as they soar over the shimmering waters of Lake Estes. Festivities start at 7am with a pancake breakfast and end with the fireworks finale at 9:30pm. Be there for a full day of fun for the whole fam!
If you want to venture to other quaint (mountain) towns outside of the Mile High, check out the celebrations in Frisco (pictured), Boulder, Evergreen, Fort Collins, Golden, Longmont, and beyond.
According to the MLB, the "Rockies fireworks are the best and biggest fireworks in town!" The Rockies will battle it out with the Phillies on July 8th and 9th at home, and Coors Field will light up with an explosive extravaganza after both wins. (I mean, games.)
