You have read the books, seen the movie, and have maybe even dreamed about what it would be like to leave the mundane and step into a colorful world of mythical creatures, rocky ruins, and lush valleys… but what if I told you that the world of Narnia may not just be a fantasy? Case in point: this place near Denver that will make you feel like you have stepped through a magical wardrobe:
In the books, Narnia is described as being a lush world full of hills and cliffs...
...ancient ruins...
...mature forest areas...
...and lush valleys for as far as the eye can see.
Believe it or not, these pictures are not screenshots from the Narnia movies, but are in fact photos taken around the beautiful Castlewood Canyon State Park!
Located less than an hour from Denver, Castlewood Canyon State Park is one of the most beautiful parks in Colorado that is not only a great place to walk around and explore, but also a historically significant area, as the state park once housed the large Castlewood Dam (which burst and flooded Downtown Denver in 1933).
This weekend, make plans to leave behind the ordinary and step into this gorgeous area that will make you think you stepped through a magical wardrobe!
