Denver Art Museum? Umm, yes. Molly Brown House? You practically live there! While you have visited a good chunk of these fun and educational exhibitions, we are willing to bet that you have never visited this little-known Denver museum that is nothing short of quirky:
Tucked away in the historic Pearce-McAllister Cottage in Denver's beautiful City Park neighborhood is that of the Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls and Toys; a unique museum whose mission is to "provide educational and cultural services to the greater Rocky Mountain region through the preservation, exhibition, collection and interpretation of the visual arts using miniatures, dolls and toys."
Founded in 1981, this niche museum was established by an alliance of miniature doll artists, business owners, and civic leaders in an effort to not only showcase their work, but the history of these wonderful toys.
Since it first opened its doors, the Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls and Toys has welcomed thousands of guests of all ages and today houses a collection of over 20,000 items!
What can you expect to find at this one-of-a-kind museum? Like the name states, there is a HUGE collection of small, yet intricate tea sets, homes, and figurines...

In addition to their tried-and-true permanent exhibits, the Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls and Toys also hosts a number of special events and exhibitions, so make sure to visit often!
The Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls and Toys is located at 1880 N Gaylord St in Denver and is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm and on Sundays from 1 pm to 4 pm.
